We've got 3 nights between Tokyo and Kyoto and wondering the best way to spend that without too much travel time. Should we nix Hiroshima, add another night to Hakone and another night to Kyoto? We currently have 3 nights in Kyoto and this would make it 4. This would make less travel time Hakone to Hiroshima 5 hours, I think but more expensive for sure. Just wondering if the kids would get enough out of Hiroshima or if it could be scary potentially or boring. I don't think your tweens can be scared by the Peace Park but you would need to decide on the Peace Museum.
Let's enjoy the summer in Japan!

The Start-Up Kids
My three teen boys have grown up in Tokyo and do not agree on much. However, they were able to agree on this Tokyo Teen Checklist on the must see and do. To make sure the list was not too male oriented the list was edited by a select group of members of the female persuasion.
November 22, At elementary school, Rika Shiiki had about 13 career goals. Not wanting to give up on any, she decided to start her own business so she could work on them one by one. GNEX is another company with big ambitions. Over the past six and a half years, the organization has continued to grow and now boasts more than 5, clients. Another teen who has taken up the challenge is Hibiki Iwano pictured top and below. Diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, he struggled to keep up with classroom activities at school, and found it difficult to connect with others. So at age 13, he decided to quit, and within two years was running his own coffee business. I found that roasting coffee was the ideal way of expressing myself.
