Theoretical background for the calculation methods used in geotechnical engineering. Relevant stress fields based on the theory of plasticity, basic elements and combinations. Principles for performing short-hand calculations of settlements, slope stability, earth pressure and bearing capacity of foundations and piles. The course aims at creating understanding through classical analysing tools and hand calculations and through demonstrations of real design cases. Knowledge: The candidate should have knowledge of: - The basics of stress-fields in soil bodies, based on the theory of plasticity - How to derive design formulas for classical geotechnical problems like earth pressure and bearing capacity thus creating an understanding of the basis for the formulas in use - Analyzing slope stability and calculating the factor of safety as well as the average stress situation along the critical shear surface - How to use Stability Charts for quick introductory estimates of the stability of a slope and the average stress levels to concentrate on - Estimating settlements based on the oedometric constraint stiffness modulus. Skills: The candidate is able to: - Use design formulas, with confidence, being aware of the basic assumptions inherent. General competence: The candidate can: - Make estimates enabling her to frame the problems at hand and to see them in a greater engineering perspective - Communicate with other engineering professions in a design process facilitated through a simple platform describing complex geotechnical conditions. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral. Exam registration requires that class registration is approved in the same semester. Compulsory activities from previous semester may be approved by the department.
For some courses, the time and place for exams has not yet been decided. Information about these exams will be published as soon as it is available. This course is examined by the contents of a folder. The deadlines for submitting the different parts of the folder will be published in Fronter. You hand in the parts of the folder by using Fronter. The files must be submitted in. The files must be named with your candidate number not your name and the course code HIS

This course shall provide knowledge about health promotion, co-creation, and social innovation, as well as coping with stress. The course is designed to provide knowledge about the importance of the participation and influence of individuals and communities in respect of health. It will look more deeply at co-creation and social innovation as perspectives and strategies for service development, health promotion, and public health. Special emphasis will be placed on the importance of having control and coping with circumstances that affect our health. Upon completion of this course, the students are expected to have the following knowledge, skills, and competencies. The contents of this course are based on theories, perspective and empirical research on health promotion, co- creation, social innovation, stress, and mastery. It will address knowledge on how co-creation and social innovation can help contribute towards service development, health promotion, and public health. Emphasis will be placed on approach methods and strategies in order to boost participation and copying.
The answer is, most emphatically, NO. You can and should share with her why you don't and never will believe in the Mormon church, and let her decide for herself, but be prepared to have that blow up in your face. Keep things going and see what happens. She got engaged 3 months later. But if your faith is a key part of your life, this is huge. Like many of you ladies I also feel like I'm getting the scraps of his time. Her Religion is more important than you will ever be Her Religion comes first and deep down, she will come to hate you for not accepting joining her religion. Hi all, It's really interesting to read all of your experiences and how you've worked through the difficult times.
