If you are curious but concerned, ditch the negative thoughts and book a day here. It was HOT in Vegas but we were pleasantly cooled by the shade trees and pools. There are multiple areas for chilling in private or to be social with others. Everyone we met was super nice, open and fun.
Las Vegas Hotels and Places to Stay
Do they typically stay in some areas more than others? On our last couple of trips, I didn't see any guys handing out those cards whatsoever. I did see a few women doing it. They don't seem quite as vulgar about it, as in, they don't "slap" the cards and throw them around as much. I would like to think they are a little more understanding about what is being exposed to children. I would think you can walk your kids by them without really worrying about it, although, as others have mentioned, good luck walking your kids past the huge "Girls Direct To Your Room" billboards on the trucks on the Strip. The good news is that the slappers are only on the public sidewalks. So, you will not see them when being dropped off at hotel entrances most of which are located well off the Las Vegas Boulevard the strip so if you use rideshare taxi or have your own car and avoid walking along the strip, then you will not be subject to them at all. I'd be more concerned with the showgirls walking around wearing thong, feathers, pasties and nothing else, as opposed to the cards. Las Vegas.
Gross hotel. We were woken up at 3am by a naked hooker in the hallway screaming and banging on the door next to ours. It took security an hour before they had her removed. The rooms were not very clean and needed renovating. Also, the wifi never worked. We ended up checking out and going somewhere else for the third night.
My husband was in Vegas 2 years ago with his buddies and they went to a club where they had white screens set up and the girls danced behind them for a silhouette effect My husband has "studied" the girls at Shadow with a lot of concentration and swears he can tell which ones are topless and which aren't I let him think he's right That was the Caesars Palace tv show a couple years ago. When I was at the shadow bar, the dancer didn't appear to be naked. Wonder if she had on a body stocking or an all in one kind of garment. It was really boring
